Waste Water Heat Recovery for Showers
Recoup Joins Tenants Participation Advisory Service
Recoup Energy Solutions is pleased to announce its membership with TPAS (Tenants Participation Advisory Service), reinforcing its commitment to supporting the social housing sector and engaging directly with tenants on energy efficiency.

TPAS plays a key role in connecting housing providers with residents, helping to ensure tenant voices are heard in decisions that affect their homes. By becoming a member, Recoup is aiming to contribute to these conversations and raise awareness of practical, proven solutions that can help reduce energy use and improve comfort in the home.
As part of this initiative, Recoup will be attending a number of TPAS events throughout the year, with Head of Residential Decarbonisation, Caroline Bowler, representing the business. These events provide an opportunity to engage directly with tenants and housing professionals, sharing insights into how Waste Water Heat Recovery for Showers (WWHRS) works and the benefits it can deliver in everyday use.
WWHRS systems recover heat from shower waste water to reduce the energy required to produce hot water. While the technology is simple and proven, increasing awareness among tenants is an important step in supporting wider adoption, particularly as residents are the ones who directly benefit from improved efficiency and reduced energy costs.
Recoup will be showcasing solutions including Recoup Easyfit+, Recoup HeatDeck™ and systems compatible with the Mira Advance Heatloop™, all designed to suit a range of property types and installation scenarios. These technologies are already being used across social housing and new-build developments to help improve energy performance and support decarbonisation targets.
This comes at a time when initiatives such as the Warm Homes Plan are driving investment in the upgrade of existing homes, with tenant engagement playing a key role in successful delivery. Recoup are also supporting merchants like Robert Price in Newport who are actively working with Welsh Authorities on decarbonisation.
By working more closely with tenant groups through TPAS, Recoup hopes to encourage greater understanding of WWHRS and support conversations between residents and housing providers around future upgrades.
Attendees at upcoming events will also be able to access Recoup’s presentation materials for further information and reference following each session.
